Resolve "CM Mobile Is Already Assigned to This User" Error

The error message "CM Mobile is already assigned to this user" can occur when an email address has previously been used for a CM Mobile account within another agency or view.

Although a new user account may have been created, CM Mobile remains associated with the original account that used the email address. As a result, the new account cannot be linked to CM Mobile.


Cause

CM Mobile uses the user's email address as part of the account association process.

If the email address has previously been used for another CM Mobile account, the system will recognise it as already linked, even if the original account belongs to a different agency or view.


Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these simple steps:

  1. Create a new user account for the care worker.

  2. Use an alternative email address that has not previously been associated with a CM Mobile account.

  3. Assign CM Mobile to the new user account.

  4. Complete the account setup process as normal.

Once a unique email address has been used, the CM Mobile application should be assigned successfully.


Additional Information

  • Each CM Mobile user account must be associated with a unique email address.

  • An email address that has previously been used with CM Mobile cannot always be reused for a different user account or agency.

  • If your organisation operates across multiple agencies or views, separate user accounts and unique email addresses may be required for each CM Mobile profile.
