The mileage solution used within CallConfirmLive! (CCL!) does not pull any data or routes from Google Maps. This can result in variations between the total trip length values recorded in CCL! vs Google Maps. The mileage solution used within CCL! does not take into consideration any real-world factors such as road closures, traffic congestion, or speed limits; whereas other route providers such as Google Maps do take these into account. This can also cause variations in the results calculated between the two.

For these reasons, we recommend not comparing mileage data generated in CCL! with the same routes generated by other providers.

CCL! relies on valid addresses with post-codes entered using the "magnifying glass" lookup tool on a client's or carer's records, to produce accurate mileage and route data. Addresses added without using the magnifying glass lookup tool may be recorded incorrectly and produce inaccurate data within the mileage wizard and daily planner routes. It is important that the magnifying glass is always used when adding addresses to client or carer records to ensure the correct address is used.

If a route has failed to calculate or is not producing the expected results, please first try removing the addresses from the "to" and "from" locations, and then add them back in using the lookup tool. After doing this, please recheck the issue by rerunning the mileage wizard or searching the daily planner route again.

If the issue remains, please ensure both "to" and "from" records are active. Mileage calculations are made inactive when a client or carer record changes to the inactive status. If you need to generate mileage data for inactive clients, they will need to be made active while the mileage wizard is run.

Mileage wizard also relies on care worker records having a valid mode of transport, so it can calculate the cost per mile. Please ensure that the care workers being considered for the mileage wizard calculation all have a valid mode of transport assigned to them within their carer records.
