Create or amend report schedules

Outlines the process for creating or updating report schedules, helping ensure reports are generated and delivered as required.

In CM Business Intelligence, you may need to create or amend report schedules to ensure reports are sent to the right people at the right time. This helps support timely decision-making, reflects changes in business needs or staffing.


Create a new schedule

To create a new schedule for a report, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your CM Business Intelligence instance, then click LOAD.

  2. Search for the report you wish to schedule, then click the schedule report icon.

  3. Click Create New Schedule. If this is the first schedule, you'll skip past this automatically.

  4. Enter the schedule name and select if you'd like to output the options to a folder.

  5. Select if you'd like to include the date or schedule name in the file name.

  6. Click Next, amend the filters available, then click Next.

    🤓 Tip: If you'd like to add filters, you do this in the report itself.

  7. Select the frequency of execution, then click Next.

  8. Click Individuals and select the users that require the report.

  9. Click Save.


Amend an existing report schedule

Follow these steps to update an existing report schedule in CMBI:

  1. Log in to your CMBI instance.

  2. Select LOAD from the main menu.

  3. Search for the report that has the schedule you want to amend.

  4. Click the Schedule Report icon.

  5. Select the schedule you wish to edit from the list of existing schedules.

  6. Use the Edit button next to the relevant section to update the schedule details as required.

  7. You can amend the following settings:

    • Schedule name

    • Output format

    • Execution timing and frequency

    • Delivery method

    • Filter options

    • Recipients

  8. Save your changes to update the schedule.

The amended schedule will take effect according to the updated configuration.
