In CM Business Intelligence, you might need to generate report viewer links to easily share specific reports with others who need quick access without using the full system.
There are two types of accounts: report builders and report viewers. Report builders create reports and share those reports with the report viewer accounts.
Share a report
To share a report or report folder with a report viewer user, you must generate a link for that user to use, that gives them access.
To get started, follow these simple steps.
Log in as a report builder user.
Create the reports you wish to share with your report viewer users, and save them in a public folder.
🤓 Tip: Any folder not located under the header My Reports in the LOAD menu.
Click LOAD and find the report or report folder you wish to share.
Select the checkbox next to the report or report folder, and click Selected Reports.
On the Selected Reports screen, click Generate External URL.
Choose to run as your own user, or a specific user, then click Apply.
Save the report viewer link in a public folder location.
Copy the link and provide it to your report viewer users so they can log in and view the reports within the report folder.
