The Deep Dive

eMAR ‘Dynamic Timeslots’

This change is expected to release soon so please keep an eye on the ‘What’s New’ section for confirmation on the launch.

For customers planning to use the new Dynamic Timeslots feature for eMAR, please be very careful before enabling this option.

We highly recommend conducting an internal review to understand how the timeslots should be configured based on your medication’s requirements before proceeding.

Important: Moving to the Dynamic Timeslots feature is final and you cannot switch back to old static timeslots method.

Please ensure all field-based staff are using CM Mobile v13.1.4 as a minimum.

If you have checked the above and are happy to proceed in switching from static timeslots to Dynamic Timeslots the process is straightforward.

  1. Navigate to the Settings app

  2. Select the eMAR tab.

  3. You should see the option “Add New Timeslot”

Selecting this will prompt you with the following message.

If you select ‘Accept’, any existing medication setup within eMAR will continue to use the previously configured static timeslot settings. However, you will no longer be able see or to make changes to these settings.

The configured times will now be shown under the timeslot name within Client Manager to help identity what configuration the medication is using.

To allow already active medication to use the new timeslots, you will need to end and set up the existing medication again with the new timeslots.

From this point forward, selecting ‘Add New Timeslot’ will add a new timeslot record.

You can create up to 24 unique timeslots, although we expect a maximum of 10 to be suitable for most organisations.

You can also delete new timeslots if they have been created in error but once saved, they cannot be removed.

You now also have the option to drag and drop timeslots if you want to reorder them.

Remember the timeslots don’t need to span a full 24 hours but the timeslots between your first and last entry cannot have a time gap.

For example, if your organisation covers 06:00 until 23:00, the first timeslot should start at 6 AM and your final timeslot should end at 11 pm. Timeslots between the first and last timeslot must run consecutively (06:00 – 08:00, 08:01 – 10:00, etc).

We also had to make a slight adjustment to the layout of Current Medication PDF to cater for the possibility of extra timeslots.

WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA to the Client Portal

Resolved further issues identified in the last audit, including fixing calendar elements to ensure they correctly receive keyboard focus and removing unnecessary alternative text for some images.
