Welcome to the first monthly newsletter from the Access CM Product Team.
During the Q1 product webinars we discussed that system news, such as product updates and bug fixes, will continue to be published as Changelogs articles (found within the What’s New tab on the CM Portal landing page).
The general feedback was that this alone wasn’t enough to convey all the changes occurring with the system. So as promised, we will now be publishing monthly updates to supplement the more frequent Changelogs.
One thing to note, we will exclude any detailed updates around DC2 migration in this newsletter as it has its own communication stream and we don’t want to cause any confusion.
If you have any feedback on the content of this newsletter then please let us know.
The Deep Dive |
CM DC2 migration readiness
The CM Portal/CM Mobile migration is due to occur overnight on the 4th of September. Work has continued behind the scenes to ensure the migration can occur as planned. Please attend the ongoing webinars or email [email protected] if you have any questions.
Document Management
Although we ran behind on our estimated release date for the Document Management feature, we are pleased to confirm the first release is now available to early adopters. Work is now underway for the next release bringing more exciting functionality.
WCAG Audit
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are aimed at ensuring that apps (such as the CM Portal) are useable by anyone regardless of any disabilities. Ensuring the apps are easy to use and accessible is something we focus on heavily within the Access Group and in the same way we carry out external penetration testing (to validate the system security), we also carry out external Accessibility audits.
At the start of August we completed the latest audit with the findings from this exercise taken into the development roadmap for resolution.
Offline Form support for CM Mobile
As we continue to evolve the solution based directly on user feedback, we are happy to announce that Forms can now be completed on CM Mobile while offline. The app will securely store the responses and sync the data once the app comes back online. We have made several changes to ensure that ongoing data usage required to make the form templates available while offline is kept to a minimum. We have also made a slight change to the user flow for previously completed Forms, they will now automatically download without the users needing to pre-emptively download each form. This process will silently run in the background so users should not notice any changes.
Access Digital Assistant
Is now live. You will see this in the Manager apps in the bottom left.
